There were about 12 images I gave a 10 to and about 25 I gave a 9 to in this challenge...there were some really stunning shots in this challenge...I didn't enter this one unfortunately, but well done guys and gals, really good work

of course there were some stinkers in there as well let me say...

It's probably not enough for a ribbon, but I believe I'll be in the top half...

:)

Wow way to start!

I've been a huge fan of the DPC site for many years. I finally submitted my first photo to this Free Study challenge. I'm really struggling with Pixels and graininess... I just wish I could take the picture and submit it. I totally messed my shot up trying to keep it inside the 720x720. I have no idea what I'm doing! Any advice?

Actually, it's probably got a good chance of being in the top 10.

Just received a request to submit proof of my picture being valid (Original camera file) -which I of course have done now.

But my question is: Is this always required? (I mean, it's a lot of work to validate several hundred pictures that way).

I didn't think it was needen unless your picture was a winner - or close to being a winner...

Someone who suspects something may be up (and just read it as suspects...) can ask for a validation. If there is reasonable justification, the SC will ask for the file. Don't take it personally, many of us have been asked for validation on a number of shots.

I'm quite liking the number of comments on this one, especially as they are pleasing comments. Although that makes me wonder why the score is still low in comparison. (Though I am not fussed really because this is my highest yet)

read the submitting photos to dpc tutorial in the learning section. boy, didi that make a difference between my first challenge tanking and my second challenge, um.... tanking. but the second tanked through my own fault, not a technical problem.;-)

good luck!

Slow progress, but getting there.

I'm impressed :)

I've rated all of them, but commenting on all of them - that's quite a task.
