I am in but the Choice of Pet will be difficult.

Pepper - The cat with Cattitude (bit me on the nose once).

Peaches - The friendly feline who is now an outdoor cat (has cost me more in carpet cleaning and replacement than camera equipment).

Sandra Dee (The Shelti from Grease) - Nothing more to say than "Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee, lousy with virginity."

I can't believe I'm getting myself into another 30 day challenge before the SP one is even finished! .... but here goes.

Introducing Jack... Silky Terrier, 14 months old, adorable (usually!)

Here is my Day 1. This is Dyna. She is a 7 and half month old natural eared (vrs cropped year like our others) Bouvier puppy. Although she is only 1 (and the youngest) of 6 Bouviers we have, expect to see a lot of her in the next 30 days. :D

I caught her during a few minutes of rest time during a 3 hour full bore play time with another Bouvier puppy. That's the reason her hair is a bit dirty and tossled. Bouviers don't know how to play gently. It's full body contact and no slowing down.

So here is Dyna:
Breed - Bouvier des Flandres (Belgium cattle herding dogs, working and herding class)

Day 1 (or technically day zero. I took it yesterday.) I think I'll be posting photos from 'yesterday' throughout the challenge. Much easier for me. I hope that's ok.

Sorry - just one of my lame jokes - you definitely didn't do anything, at least not for anyone to get on your case about.

We were listing links to places where folks were going to display their pet portraits, then we saw that we'd linked your name to someone else's portfolio. I went looking for your own portfolio or blog. to put it right, but found you hadn't given us one!!!
shock!!! horror!!! probe!!!!

Not that it's any of my business to be messing with all this anyway - da fotoman set up the thread. I just thought I'd put links on my blog, like wot xianart did.

Back to normal service?

I won't be filling up my dpc portfolio with this Pet Challenge, but here's my first day effort. My goal is to take as few photos of my "subject" as possible for each day - i.e. one, if I can get away with it. However, I took two shots today, one without flash, and one with. This is with flash as the other one was too noisy. (Oh, I cloned out some shadow on the wall ;>รพ)

30 Day Pet Collection: as seen in my portfolio sherpet

Day 1...

Day 2... When I replaced the origional image, that had a red border, with this same image only with a cream border, I somehow accidentally lost the image with the red border.
So now I have no record of the comments, that the four DPC members recently had put on my Day 2 image called, "Can U C Me", which had the red border.
They were comment made by SandyP Hihosilver xianart and someone else who I have forgetton the name of..... I am so sorry I wiped your messages to me, re this image, as they were precious to me.

Day 3...shake it, baby...

shez, as far as i'm concerned, the pic of riley is just dandy. he's adorable, and even if he isn't your pet, he's loved by someone. of course, i'm not in charge here..;-) but, seeing as the sweetheart of dpc (i mean it, sweetie) you could probably do anything you want...

here's the code to use if you want to put a link to your pet file in your signature: [*url=//www.dpchallenge.com/portfolio.php?USER_ID=48228&collection_id=18023]30 Day Pet Collection[/url*]

just copy and paste into your signature, then take out the asterixes.

if you want to start a blog, it's realy easy. i've used both myspace and blogger, and like them both for their good graphic design and ease of use and reading.

they're both pretty well point and click, but blogger uses a bit more coding. i've found that bloggeris better for 'photo display. if you want to use blogger, and want to change how it looks, pm me, and we can do it together!

    Day 1 Day 2
OK - I will try to keep up this time around. Only made it through 11 days or so on the first SP challenge, but with 3 cats I should be able to accomplish this right? I am just going to post my shots in my portfolio. Good luck everyone.

I'd like to join in on the 30 day pet thread - Been reading the tutorial to insert an image and hopefully it'll go in. Not sure if I'm doing right?

    for whitewolf

to show a thumbnail, copy the image id - the last numbers in the url address that shows up at the top of your screen (or right click on the thumnail in your portfolio, select 'properties' and copy the nember from the address listed there

click on the button second from right above the text box in the post reply box in the forum.

    paste the id number in

    click ok

    voila!

Your help is greatly appreciated - Thanks! I'll try it out with another photo -

don't forget, whitewolf, you need a folder somewhere to collect all your pet portraits in - either on dpc or in a blog, or another website, whichever you want. post it here, so people who use blogs can include you in the links list.

lovely malamute mix. what's she mixed with? good name too...

    xianart -
I started a folder in dpc portfolio and I did sign on to the blog mentioned in here but haven't set it up yet. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do to get in on the thread. Thanks again for helping!
Not exactly sure of Bodhi's mix beside malimute - she looks pretty wolfy (people stop me all the time on our walks to ask) but who knows.
