Young artists many times practice by imitating the masters of their style, has DPC ever had a challenge where the idea is to pick a famous photo and try to reproduce the image as closely as possible? Either have the site pick one photo that everyone tries to recreate or everyone can choose their own. I know we've had a tribute challenge but I think that it would be very interesting getting all of the members trying to recreate or maybe reinterperet a certain shot. Or maybe just one artist of one shot is too narrow.

The last one I can remember was the Ansel Adams challenge.

Or have a number of photos from which to choose one to emulate.

more of the idea I was thinking of is having DPC choose what photos we have a choice of emulating, I think it'd be a lot more interesting if everyone knew what the original looked like.

Oh wow...that would be a lot of the same thing over and over...I vote no, but of course I don't care enough to make an argument as to why.
