Although there are some nice bug shots (especially Jacko's -- showed some creativity at least) I enjoyed the other subject matter in this challenge, especially your shot, John. I also really liked #4, #7 and #9 finishers... Good job everybody who came up with something fun and creative!

The bug shots were good, but didn't we just have an insect challenge?

Thanks! Mine was 4th. Rarely do I get such a high score, I thought I had a ribbon. :(

I believe you to be much too modest! You have some excellent shots, and some excellent scores. In fact, I just added you to my list of favorites. Your Iguana shot was one of the 3 10's I gave this week. Nice work and enjoy your phantom 4th place ribbon!

This appeared to be the third in (hopefully) the insect trilogy: (Insects) In the Garden, Insects, and (Insect) Macros.

Seriously, I really like a good bug macro (and there were some exceptional ones in this challenge, including the winners), but I was kinda surprised that so many people stuck with bugs for subjects. I'd be interested how many people who submitted bugs set out with that as their goal, and how many just happened to have a good bug opportunity pop up during the week.

Thanks! I feel a little better now. ;) I did feel sad being robbed of a ribbon by 3 bugs, two of them dead. But, they indeed are great photos. My favorite was #7, Jean's "Thistle Leaf".

And thanks for adding me to your favorites, JD. I specially remember your Free Study challenge photograph, because it got the same score as my submission. =)

Thanks!
The lesson to be learned there is to start all of your titles with the letter A. We had identical scores, but I was ahead of you alphabetically! LOL
