Just that the first one looks like a member of the Kingfisher family, and the second is probably an antelope fo some kind.
I hid the "other version" of this thread. |

Hi
The bird IMO is one of the Kookaburra family the beak shape and overall colouring look right but I can not fine an image that matches it.
There appears to be quite wide variation of feathers and beak colour.
Nice picture though. |

I do not know what they are :(
I was to busy behind the camera trying to get photos for the Dallas Zoo photo contest.
I had to have them printed and mailed in by the 30th, I did not read most of the nameplates.
We want to make a trip to the Ft Worth Zoo, we hear it is so much better.

The bird is definately in the Kingfisher family, which includes Kookaborras. I think it is an Amazon Kingfisher, but there are several similar looking. Van |

I sometimes don't bother to read them either, just take a photo and print it out later. |

Might be a blue winged kookaburra, but your picture is better and the bird no where near as angry as in this shot:

They do look somewhat similar.
One exception is the orange beak in your photo it is dark colored brown/black.
I will have to check some sources later on. Thanks for the help!
I have some other animals also if anyone wants me to post them? :)
