On my attempted GTG in NYC last month (it rained almost the whole time) I was walking the streets taking night photos with my new f/1.5 50mm.

I took a bunch of pictures. When reviewing them when I got home, I noticed a woman staring straith at my camera from across a street. Everyone was walking except her. When I look at the expression on her face she appeared to be mad I was taking a picture.

I few weeks went by and I was showing a co-worker my NYC pics, and told her about this person staring at me. My co-worker exclaimed that it is Melissa Rivers, the daughter of Joan Rivers. She is confident and started hunting for pics on google images. I can't tell. Please help me.

This is a crop and zoom from a much larger image.

Please help me.

Absolutely without a doubt...........no way. That girl is much prettier than Melissa Rivers.

I have 2 people here that say it is, and one person that doesn't think so because her hair is parted on the wrong side. Someone at work showed me a photo of the real Melissa from google (I can't refind it) where she is wearing big hoop earings just like the girl in my photo.

Take notice of the shoes. She doesn't look like a tourist.

It started raining right after that, so I put my camera away, but I would have had a shot at Jessica Simpson. She was at MTV that night.

Maybe I should try to be a paparazzi!

I tried to find a shot as close in quality etc. as possible...

Melissa Rivers

Comparing the facial bone structure, the posture, other details, it certainly does look like her!

I agree that it looks a lot like her...but the eyebrows are not quite right....even frowning, Melissa has a much larger eye area and higher brows and more arched than the girl in your photo.

This girl appears to have blue eyes, while Melissa's are brown. Melissa's eyebrows are also a bit thicker. Not everyone in NYC is a tourist. Real live breathing human beings work in Times Square and other places that toursts like to visit. And a lot of NYCers are fashion conscious. The shoes don't look like anything particularly special to me. I can get gold pumps at Off Broadway Shoes.

whoever that is - her expression looks more like an annoyed and worried look more than angry to me. Maybe it's just a stranger that felt worried if you are some pervert or someone that shoots photos of women for personal collection.

Was Steve Davidson in New York at that time. I can't tell from the pic right away, but it could be him.

I'd say it's Melanie Battenham. ;-)

I just zoomed that pic that BeeCee posted and made her head the exact same size. It's really close, especially the cheek bones.

Steve was behind me when I took that shot. He was coming out of the Bubba-Gump Shrip Company resturant.

No way! I am confident. (come on...would Melissa Rivers be caught dead wearing THOSE shoes??? I think not!)

I have worked with Melissa, and that is not Ms. Rivers.

Could be just some uptight cheese puff lover.
