Well, I've compiled a list of album design software on my blog- you can read about it :
album design software :0).

It's for anyone who is as baffled as I am over how many programs there are to choose from and what are the differences??? Well, I still don't know that but at least there's a list! :0P

So you can check it out if you're thinking about getting any and if you have any advice for me and anyone else reading it it would be very cool of you to comment!

I see one error - on the Lumapix fotofusion you CAN save templates on the $90 version (pro i think they call it). The Studio version does lots of things but at $299 i'll wait on it.

I didn't know there was that many out there either.

You don't have Photoshop listed - lost of photogs use it, and you can get actions and templates to make albums as well. a quick google got this. and this too and more are out there.

I use Fotofusion and many labs are partners and give it to your free (i find this out AFTER i buy it of course). What's nice is you can send them the unflattened files and they can color correct and adjust each image on a page if you want.

Prof...which labs will give you the fotofusion for free? That would be a great perk!

Hey Chris,
Thanks for that. I already own fotofusion and didn't even realize I could save a template. I'll make sure to change that in the blog. :0)
I did know about PS templates out there, I'm just not sure they have the drag and drop ease of use I'm looking for. I really appreciate you looking those up!

//www.profilmet.com

they have free classes quarterly too for fotofusion. I must make an effort to get to the next one.

I was playing a bit (ok, installing it on my studio computer, the old beast..) and you can make mattes for it in PS or Illustrater and other effects too - they had a star burst - white burst on clear BG, so you could add a burst to any pic or what have you - again, done in PS and it has directions! Hmm...off to explore some more!

samples i've done in FF:

takes me about 20-30 minutes a page. Occassionally I take the finished page as a JPG into PS and play a bit more. I have ideas, not enough time to try them all.
