I got a chance to shoot a local community college football game this past saturday. The field they play on is right across the street from Rich Stadium, home of the NFL's Buffalo Bills! Oh to be shooting over there ... well ... someday maybe. For now, I'm truly enjoying every chance to shoot a game. I may be asked back to officially shoot for this team and I would love to get some C&C if anyone has the time.

All shots are with a 70-200 f4 on an XT. (I have a 1.4x TC coming this week)

All handheld, moastly on Av, f4, ISO 100-400 (1/250-1/1250) extremely variable lighting (bright sun to dark clouds and rain).

I've been shooting highschool football for about four years. What a blast being down there with all the action. Your shots all look good. Lucky you, you had a day game. Most of the games I shoot are at night...difficult lighting. My only comment would be to crop out any players that don't help the shot and to focus on one player in each shot. I post all my pictures to my schools web site (I'm also the webmaster) and I try to get shots of all the different players and not just the QB, WR and RB. However, they seem to show up most often. You can check out some of the pictures I've taken at www.saintsfb.com. We have several photographers. My pictures are on the Varsity's Game Highlights page for the Marian game.

Have fun and be careful. Keep one eye in your camera and the other watching for flying bodies and footballs. I've almost been taken out several times.
