Am sure this has been suggested many (many) times but I wonder how many times dpc members have walked past eachother and not known it? Not only at events but in everyday life (if your reading this in work hold your right hand up and say "I'm a dpc'er")

How about a tastefull and subtle T-Shirt with a simple dpc'er logo? and how cool would a dpc ringtone be?

Hello, my name is Erin and.... I'm...... A DPCer!

Woo, I'm glad I got that off my chest.

I agree, a simple t-shirt would be cool. Also, a small bumber sticker or window decal could be cool. Seems like it would be pretty cheap.

Maybe include a bumber sticker/window decal with any paid membership.

I bet you'd see a few of them around town.

toss up two of the logos on cafe press, and let people flock to the checkout!

if you're a paid member you can have one with the logo in that purpley-blue, registered members get grey!

edit spelling!

Becky-Lee and I were talking about this while we were camping and saw a couple people taking creative shots of single trees. We wondered if they were working on the current challenge, but were not about to ask and have them think we were insane!

We decided that a teeshirt with simply the blue ribbon on it would be nice. Would hate to miss a chance to meet a DPC'er just because we didn't know.

I don't think I would be too happy to wear a T-shirt advertising a photography contest website, personally... but it would be nice for everyone who wanted to I guess.

There's not that many DPC users around here, I've met one of them (Ristyz) once though.

I'd like the T-shirt.

There's a way to DIYS.

There's stuff you can print the blue ribbon on, and then iron it on a t-shirt. Or where-ever (camera-bag maybe?)

:)

they should sell a blue camera strap (like the ribbons), that way we would know :)

For those into body art I guess there is even a possibility of a DPC blue ribbon tattoo. But the effectiveness of the tattoo as a way of saying "Hi!" would depend on where people would wear such a tattoo, which could lead to interesting revelations of membership at those more intimate moments.

Or maybe not...

cool idea...

We could do like the gang members do and get a little ribbon tattoo under our eye like the teardrop. That way when we do meet other dpc'ers away from our computers, they will know our status.

And the Bloods and Crips already have red and blue taken for the shirts so we need another color

and for the people that come last . . . .

I think a DPC camera strap like the Canon or Nikon strap would DEFINITELY sell enough to justify having it manufactured...

Or we could always go for foam headgear a la the Green Bay Packers' "Cheesehead" hats:

Now, Leroy would want that one, but for the rest of us it should be in the shape of a ribbon, of course. Sales would be monitored so only those who have actually WON ribbons could buy one in blue, yellow, or red: everyone else would have to have a gray one...

Are you proud enough of DPC to wear a foam cap when shooting? Raise your hands, please...

How about a nice decal with the virtual ribbon on it. Maybe, to avoid confusion, the ribbon could be GREEN. Or multi-colored.

The decal could go on the brim of a cap or a camera bag, for instance.

I have actually walked up to a group and asked if they were DPCers. Received the blankest look!
;-)
