First off, I really like the idea of the shot. :D I think the composition works very nicely as well. I would normally avoid having too much open space on either side of the frame, but the space to the right of the boy works perfectly for this subject matter. It not only gives you a sense of the direction both the golfers are driving towards, but I think it's also good that you cropped out the head of the man's golf club, tee, etc. They would have taken away from the main subject of your shot.

As far as critiques go, I think the highlights look just a little blown out. Even on my dark monitor at work, the skin tone of the boy seems too bright - even for being Irish... ;) Also, I think the DOF could have worked a little better for this image. I would definitely have shot with a very shallow DOF to blur out that distracting building behind the trees. Then you could just have the boy in sharp focus and everything else a bit blurred (especially the background). I like the white border, but probably would have gone with a smaller one. But overall, I think this a great photo! Good job. :D
