Hmmm the 20's I am not sure I was ever sober enough to remember anything. The only goals I had were to make sure I was always ready to party and always had enough money to do so. I was an over achiever. Things settled down when I hit the 30's still have 1.1 year left before the Big 40.

Ahh, amateurs. I'm 39 and still don't know.

But I'm loving every minute of it so far! :)

When I was 20 something I got kinda bullied (family) into a career I hated (insurance). At 26, I decided to change it all and went back to college, Art Institue of Atlanta, and got my degree in "Visual Communications". What the hell does that mean? Means I learned to do a lot of cool stuff, but now what am I going to do for a living?
I used the technical/graphic/creative stuff to (over 8 years) specialize in a high end financial presentations for top-end-executives career. I've worked for 2 of the world's largest consulting firms and Coca-Cola doing what..... PowerPoint presentations. :( Bores me to death. But its what I do, now for a Dutch banking firm (ING). All along I KNEW that I had to let my creative side out... but my "creative" career is... uhmm.... not creative!!
So 4 years ago, I kicked my hobby/habbit into a "study". Photography.
"I will learn, I will learn everything as fast and as deep as I can" That has been my mantra. My goal is to have my nights/weekends career overtake my 9-5 career within 2 years, because now the clients and day-job are starting to overlap.

When you're 20, you have no idea what you want to do 'forever'. Do what you want to do NOW, but make sure it can pay the bills. If that isn't what you want to do forever after you've given it a go... try something else. There is no right answer and may a 40 yr. old taking night classes will tell ya - you can change directions at any time!

20's are indeed very confusing times. I am smack in the middle at 25 and have absolutely no clue as to where I would be in 2 years. Big dreams, frivolous leaps and maturation to the point where one can begin life. All along I thought that life began at 21 but as many here seem to believe its the magic 30. I still believe though from 21 onwards its how you develop your mind is what matters the most.

About the suit ... well I am one today. And looking at my counterparts in other streams I wish I was them. The grass always seems greener everywhere but where I am. :-)

Just want to say that I really enjoy this thread and being only 21 and graduating in a year, its nice to hear that not everyone(or almost anyone for that matter) seems to know what they were doing at my age. I just want to have a camera in my hands and be able to pay my bills.
