yeah, I think the voters are still trying to work out what they think of this challenge.

I just had a similar drop, 0.13 in two votes and now 3 votes later im almost back to where it was. All in the space of half an hour.

dropped a bit more, unfortunately... seems afternoon voters weren't so kind...

sure is a heck of a poker hand, though...

I'm experiencing the same thing. I've gone done from a 5.98 to 5.66 over the last couple of hours. I'm quite depressed...

My scores dropped too this afternoon. C'mon, 4.0! Don't drop below that, please!!!

Definitely moving in the wrong direction on this one. Went from just outside of the DrAchoo Comment Range to well within it. Are you still doing post-challenge comments, Jason? Not that I need one on this challenge - I'm more than aware of why it's not a high-scoring photograph but I still like it.

I've gone from 5.8 down to 4.8 in this challenge, only one person commenting on the photo seems to have "got" what I was trying to do.

I doubt I will vote on any more of these photos. If mine is only worth a 4 in some people's eyes, then I think my voting on the rest would be unfairly biased.
09/07/2006 11:34:58 AM · #91
Mine has dropped almost half a point. Oh well. . .

Ya, I'll try to pick it back up. I've been so busy with work/marathon training, I've slacked off. I'm afraid this challenge could have a few pretyped critiques though which would apply to lots of the shots. (won't say them at this moment).

Not to get off subject...but which marathon are you running Jason? I will be out in Portland at the end of the month to support my girlfriend at that marathon...just curious.

I will definitely be looking for post-contest comments B/C IMHO this score is unjustified...I know (all personal feelings aside) this image deserves a higher score.

That very race. ;) Look for me. I'll be the tall skinny guy sucking ass in the back. Haha! Actually I'm hoping for a personal best in this one, but it will still be slow. This is coming from a guy who had a shirt embroidered "I beat Oprah" by a friend after I beat her time...

Finished voting. I'm not in this one.

Some gems in here. Really thoughtful images.

Also seems like a lot with technical issues, small images, focus (not artistic), exposure, post porcessing. More than usual IMO.

Good luck all!

Good luck Doc. I ran my first one in January. Had to lose 135 lbs in the process!

Pick mine! Pick mine! It's properly sized, in focus, decently exposed, and not overprocessed! :-)
