Hi, My name is Heather and I'm an addict.
They put crack in the dance pad, I swear. If you haven't tried this, I highly suggest it. Not only is it fun, but it's one heck of a workout. I have put this game in my daily schedual of events. If you don't see me around much, nothing bad has happened to me...I'm just playing DDR...BUT, if I don't log on for a few days, someone call me to make sure I'm ok...
in the last few minutes I burned 41.168 calories. Workout mode is amazing, you can set goals for calories burned and such. Sweet!
Ok, I'm off to play.

DDR is awesome. Being friends with a city champ is dangerous though... the crowds become smothering if he plays for more than 1 or 2 rounds. Those flying feet are the things of legend.

But yes, the addiction is very very real, haha. I've seen friends drop thousands in the arcades in a year.

The master!

He inspired me to try it. Someday I will grow up to be just like him.

And I could definately see spending thousands in the arcades...which is why I just went out and bought the stupid thing. haha. I'm gonna get the full metal dance pad with the support bar eventually I'm sure.
Yup...crack in the dance pad.

I have seriously got to go and visit you sometime crayon. you apparently get to enjoy all kinds of fun aspects of Asia that I've obviously been missing out on. :)

Where the heck do you find cute girls dancing DDR in miniskirts?

The local night markets and arcades just have a bunch of guys doing them.

Watched one dance one once and it was quite amazing. that boy had some seriously lightning feet. He played like quite a few rounds totally perfect...

It certainly would have been a much more interesting experience with a cute girl in a miniskirt though...

I love DDR! It really is so addicting and it really is a great workout. Now you have me in the mood to play, even if it is almost 1am! I only wish there was a way I could combine all 4 of the ps2 games I have, so I could have all the songs on one game.

The DDR you guys are playing, does it involve/require hand movements?
Here the have a "cage" to have observers standing a distance away so they wont get accidentally hit by the players, LOL

Apparently either a) I live under a rock, or b) I'm old. Possibly both. I have no idea what you people were talking about. Having watched a video, I'm fairly certain I could practice for about 5 years and still not get a single step right. Looks like it would indeed be a good workout, though!

Speaking of...Anyone with an Original Xbox need DDR and 2 dance pads, they have been sitting around the house here since the kids left. Way too much work for me...

...much like Yourself!Fitness which we also have for the xbox.

I'm jealous. I really am. I will have that some day. haha

I've never played it at an arcade. Every time I go, there's a lot of people there, and I'm not very good mind you, so I haven't gotten the honor of playing for a crowd. My son loves it though, and he's a little chubby, so I'd like to get him into it.
I'm getting alot better though. Definately addicted.

I swear I lost 10 lbs tonight alone. I've been playing for 2 hours straight. waaa...I feel like I'm gonna pass out. But I can't stop. Is there a support group for this thing? Where was the stinking warning label? It's 2am for gosh sakes. The other night I was still playing at 5AM!! That means I've got 3 hours left to play...this game will be the death of me...

Reminds me of this game at Dave & Busters that has Ultrasonic radar and can tell where you are positioned. When you duck and weave so does your view on screen. Since it's a 1st Person Police Shooter, you are being shot at regularly and must duck and weave to stay alive. Great workout for the lower body.

I recently got a similar workout by shooting a Classic Car Show.

Yourself Fitness works on the 360, if you were using it before. I'm using it for core exercising.
