Edit to try a second swing:

---
Everything is beautiful, in its own way. Sometimes with our fast and hectic lives we don't stop to look around and realize the beauty of the world right around us - an onion at the market, the curve of a door handle, a crack in the plaster. Show us the extraordinary in the ordinary, the overlooked grace of the common. Everything is beautiful, in its own way.

This is *NOT* a free study: we already know sunsets, sunrises, birds, flowers, children under 12, cats, dogs, puppies, kittens, and butterflies are beautiful - they Do Not Meet This Challenge and are grounds for Disqualification; the challenge is to show us beauty where it is overlooked - because Everything is Beautiful, in its own way.
---

holy stink, that's a long challenge description!

----- Original Below -----

Everything is beautiful, in its own way. Sometimes with our fast and hectic lives we don't stop to look around and realize the beauty of the world right around us - from an onion at the market to the curve of a door handle. This week find and photograph beauty in the ordinary. Everything is beautiful.

Special rule: Any representation of flowers, dogs or cats (including puppies and kittens), or anyone under 12 will result in a DQ.

What? You don't think flowers, dogs, cats, or kids are beautiful? :)

I do like the topic though, very much.

If "everything" is beautiful, there is no reason to keep flowers, dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, or children under 12 out of the running. Otherwise, call your challenge suggestion idea "ALMOST everything is beautiful, except Flowers, Dogs, Cats, Puppies, Kittens, and Children under 12."

The special rules are great. Seeing the same freaking photos over and over is getting BORING. Makes me look forward to winter.

Also, can we add "sunsets" to that list?

(Note above for second attempt at challenge description)

Examples that quickly come to mind

Beauty, where you don't expect it. Because everything is beautiful, in its own way.
