Somehow I'm betting it's not a standard bell curve.

And for those of you getting personal bests, go here after the challenge and do a bit of boasting, please!

And I must be one of Brad's 5 or 6's. :-)

Me, too.
You have rated 389 of 679 images (57%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 48 images (7%) in this challenge.

I tried, I really did. 48 is a lot of comments for me, twm and jaded_youth and Brad, wow! Impressive.

Having only a week for that many entries caught me up short.

I just might hit 6 with the proper bump. 30 comments is nice though. I think they came from the fact my shot is not your typical free study shot. Still at 6.0, I'm planning on being somewhere in 100th to 150th...

I feel like I am caught in the middle of a faint. I have no idea where I am, but it's somewhere very important. It is somewhere between feeling and meaning. The lines of perspective are a hand opening up to take me to an interior place I've never been, and I see myself as a child, trying not to see, and I see this frightful hand upon my own face, touching its pinky against my own hand. I am in pajamas that are falling open, utterly vulnerable, slipping into what I hope is the familiar world of sleep... but this passageway is utterly unfamiliar. I wonder if that is my whole life being drawn in the multitude of shadows, charcoal sketches of the images and incidents of my life. I am trapped in the moment before you pull your hand away and everything is obliterated by the sun into a monolithic world of white. 10

Wow!! Now that's some amazing commenting. :-)

I was inspired by jaded_youth. Unfortunately I was not able to do what she did. But oh well, I gave it a good try.

Okay I finally finished voting. NO more votes from me on any challenge for the rest of the week (maybe month depending on how tired I feel when it comes to voting time.

Looking at other scores, I might not make the top half!! You guys are good.

I plan on getting through the rest of these photos today. At least voting wise. So far I've managed to vote on 512 (75%) of the photos and comment on 99(15%). I'm actually sacrificing comments for votes. I only comment on photos that I notice something at first glance. I haven't really given out low scores, but have given out my highest scores. I've given out more 9's than i have in any other challenge combined. And if I get through all the photos in time, they may get bumped up to 10s. (I think I gave 1 or 2 10s so far)

Out of 680 people that entered, not that great of a voting turn out. :-( Maybe it would help to lengthen the voting period next time. Just my 2 cents...

I have to agree. I didn't enter, but I've been trying to find the time to vote and comment as much as possible. If there was an extra week for voting, I'm sure I'd get to every photo and be able to leave a few more comments. As it is now, it looks like I'm going to miss out on about a 1/3 of the photos in this challenge, which is a shame.

With the amount of time and effort that many people went through to enter these incredible shots, it would be nice to have a chance to get to them all. Anybody brought this up with Langdon and the SC yet?

Yah, the challenge is beautiful, but unwieldy. Maybe they should make it a Speed Free Study.

I agree, except for the "not a bad thing" part.

I actually forced myself to vote through the entire challenge because I thought it was ending Tuesday night and I wanted to make it though 100% lol. Not an easy task.

I handed out more 10's than I have given in all the challenges I've voted in to date. Also was easy to toss out 8's and 9's like I was being bribed. Some really, really great shots in there.

Even the 'filler' shots were pretty good. I don't think I gave out many votes lower than a 5.

I don't care for the size of the challenge, it's simply too much to wade through. But for the gems that are in there, I don't feel I wasted my time.

With that last comment, this is now a record-setting result on every scale! :)

It'll be interesting to see what happens at rollover when the under-20% votes get tossed along with the ones from people with odd voting patterns.
