Much, much. much better with the original sky. Mist's PP is really all it needs.

The blue sky version doesn't work for me at all, looks like the clouds are the wrong scale. You may want to check out Photomatix site look at tone mapping examples if this was shoot RAW an easy fix.

This is from Skiprow and a quote I have now memorized...

"you take a picture.
you look at it on your monitor.
you ask, "what do i have to do to this to make this presentable?"
you ask, "what do i have to do to this to make it WOW!!!
you do whatever, then you compare the original to the result.
if they hardly bear a resemblance to each other, you've probably done TOO MUCH"

For you, as a photographer, maybe it was just bad timing. Try again in the future.
