It robs the new couple of so much.

Yesterday my cousin said his "I do" for the first and what he knows is the only time. He did so with out pictures, his photographer did not show up. The minister ask that everyone who came with cameras take alot of pictures and please share them with the new couple. Still, he will miss so many of the wonderful shots I have seen here. She was paid in advance and has offered a refund, but not sure when. My question is... Is there anyone here who would be willing to help with photo touch ups. I am not all that great in PS and these pictures will not have been taken by professionals. I want to try to give him the best he can get dispite what happened. I am Not talking about alot of shots, just some to put into an album for him.

Thanks
Christine

If you need Photoshop help, my skills aren't as good as many here, but I'd be honored to help!!

It just almost brings tears to my eyes thinking about how disappointed the happy couple must have been. I hope that they did their best not to let it ruin their day...though I'm sure that would be hard.

My best wishes to your cousin and his bride for many years of wedded bliss!

I hope the many family photographers that took their wedding photos turned out BETTER photos than the AWOL photographer did - two heads are better than one :) Lets us know how it goes.

And in the spirit of the original post - if any of you are assigned to a task and could not make it, it would be good if you have a backup photographer buddy who can help, go instead. Dont let your clients down - a wedding usually do not come again in a lifetime.

Thanks guys, you are all so sweet. Gonna call him in the am and let him know. They were heartbroken when the photographer didn't show up even held off the wedding for almost an hour hoping. They poored so much time and $$ to get things just perfect.

count me in too, I was curious if when you email them if you could ask how they want them processed. Meaning would they like b&w, color, certain crop ratios for prints, things like that.

Didn't the photographer at least called to say he/she can't make it?
If he/she didn't - what a bastard!

(A) the Vicar was awol

The vicar was found tending his veggie garden..ooops time flies!!!

he did the sevice in cassock old jeans and gum Boots
the organist was not found so one of the guests played (badly)!!!!

Could be worse... a friend of mine (former pastor) was once due to officiate at a wedding, but the groom didn't show up.

Half an hour before the wedding a woman turned up, found the pastor, and said "the wedding can't go ahead, because the groom is currently married to me", which explained why the groom didn't show. You can imagine how devestated the bride and her family were.

If you'd like some artsy fartsy type stuff done I'll have a go. I can do normal processing too, but you've got plenty of people to help out there!

I can only hope that the photographer had a very good excuse and was able to at least let them know.
