So, I posted a thread about how I went on line and was surfing around when I came across a job opportunity on Craigslist.com.

I was a bit concerned about the event, and getting hired over the internet, and having to talk to a young producer.

To make a long story short, I went to the event an hour early. I checked out the venue without my gear, dropped a couple of names and the name of the magazine I rep-ed.

All was good.

I did not see my producer contact for the event for the first hour of the kick off, so I just shot candids.

I finally saw her when two fellas with p&s, and another fella with pro quality gear were following a young lady.

I approached her and she knew who I was immeadiatly.

Shot her standing to alot of Asian film producer and director types. Also, she was hob knobbing with some Asian film stars as well. ( I did not recognize anyone.)

I had three people approach me to errase their images. One was an intimidating fella of Spanish heritage. He was definetly out of place from the rest of the crowd. He said, "You know who I am??" I replied, "Sorry fella, never saw you in my life!"

He probly was someone, since he was in the v.i.p. section, but I had no clue.

The funny thing is, if they had any clue, they would of asked me to reformat my card instead since I have image recovery software to bring back those images I errased.

Anyway, the end of the night I was paid in cash.

So, thanks to Craig I can put on my resume my first paid gig.

I've even recovered images from a CF card that had been used / reformatted / used and reformated again. (I mean, all of the images from the 2nd usage were recovered, as were the ones at the end from the first usage)
