From The Ground Up II score : 5.930
not much of an improvement to show for 11 months... though, at the time, i was ecstatic about a 5.9 as it was my second highest score... now i'm kind of disappointed. oh how our perceptions change with time...

That's pretty consistant around here. Really high scores and really low scores get comments. Those in the middle generally don't. I know it's frustrating. |

Because there are 360 submissions! People don't want 'good job, nice shot' comments and after leaving 4 or 5 lines with each photo it's hard to leave more than 10%-15% comments. At least it is for me, it's just too much time.

Score took almost a .2 tumble yesterday but steady a bit now, as long as I do over my average I'll be happy :o)
As for voting / commenting I am starting today and hope to do 50% comments again this challenge!

I understand hand cramping... my "issue" as it were, is people that vote low on something without commenting. If you're voting below 4 there has to be a reason.
I'm not saying that *everyone* should leave comments on every photo - that's ridiculous. In general the highs and lows are going to recieve the comments, that's expected. You either did something really great, or really bad.
However if you're voting something that low, you must think that something was really bad. Nobody gets better by living in a soundproof box - they need to know what was so bad that caused you to vote so low. |

camera started on the ground, shot was pointed up, score went back down to the ground, now, I'm digging...I'm thinking of retitling this:
From the Ground Up, Back Down, and Underneath
And for the comments argument...this is scoring well below a 4, but I have only 3 comments.
