I've recently started using photoshop and was naturally amazed at its range
of features and how easily it could improve images. I'm now a little worried
that I am 'overdoing' it. Just wondered if anyone could give me a little advice
as to whether my processing is being overdone?

Many thanks, most recent examples below.

If the final image is how you invisioned the image to be then it is not overdone. If you want your images to look natural and they do then they are not overdone. If you want your images to not look natural and they arent then they are not overdone.

Basically you should do what you want and as long as you like them then someone else will like them too. Not everyone will like them, but not everyone likes everyone else's stuff either.

And no, I dont think they look overdone either. In fact the iguana looks very natural.

That was what I was going to say but couldn't find the words. :-)

For example, it seems to me that "Tranquil Turbulence" is overprocessed. But I am used to seeing very dramatic sunrise/sunset photos on here, and I think it is amazing image (and it's going in my favorites).

Just to expand on what TrynityRose said, it all depends on what you're looking to achieve. Your first photo doesn't look natural to me, so if that was your intent than yes it was overprocessed. However, if your goal was to make an image with a bit of an artistic flair then mission accomplished.

As stated before, it depends on what you're trying to achieve. If you're trying to get a good score, keep in mind that you need vivid colors that "pop", and you cannot oversharpen. This is just my opinion, of course.
