i think Nikon was very smart and happy with the release of the D200.

A good camera with good enhancements from the previous. Good enough for people that was droolong over the 5D from Canon starting to get seond ideas about this... (I've read cases that some Canon lovers sold everything to go Nikon because of the D200)

For people who is using the camera to make money: here's my question:

Could you justify the price difference between them?
And the qualaty? Is it worth the extra buck?

Please can you give me your feedback?

The image quality between the 2 are very hard to tell apart unless you know exactly what to look for. Its really only worth the extra money if you are shooting tons of sports and you need the cropped 8 fps. As with me many have gotten the MBD-200 vertical grip and that makes the camera handle much better in verticle situations, it also holds 2 batteries. Go with the D-200 and spend the extra money on glass would be my advise.

I also had the D70. When I started looking at the D200 vs the D2x, and i shoot sports regularly, I could not justify the difference.

Get the D200, and the battery grip, you will be happy.

the situation is a bit complicated by the rumored d3H...
I have put the D200 on hold awaiting the D3H...

The is a world of difference between a "pro" body and a "prosumer" body
IMHO as far as build feel and durability.

There is a ton of diffrence between a pro model and a pro-summer model. The D-200 has filled the gap between the 2 very nicely. A D3H huh? Any idea about details on it. I wa wondering when they were going to do that but thought it would be put of for a while due to the D2xs.

im a canon person..but didnt nikon update the d2x just a little while ago, my opinon is the next camera is gonna be an updated d50..
also, i would go with the d200... it takes almost equal photos, and doesnt justify a couple grand..

The next camera out from Nikon is the D80 in 5 days. I believe the replacement for the D70s. 10mp and more!

The thing that I like is the wi-fi built in...
I can shoot teathered to my studio network from anywhere I can get a net connection... now that is cool tech !
