The doc called this evening and Byron's mass is NOT malignant. I am so thankful and relieved. We go in tomorrow to find out exactly what it is and how to treat it, but at least it's not cancer. I appreciate all your positive thoughts and messages!!! :)

That's fantastic news. I am so happy for you. I know what you go through to a certain degree. I have lost count of how many skin blemishes that my hubby has had taken off. About 50% have come back malignant. Thankfully hubby gets them early as he knows what to look for now. But even still the doctors try to refuse to have blemishes removed from him that show the obvious signs. The last removal was a few months ago...and it too came back as cancerous. And yet the Doctor didn't want to remove it...and only did because of Damion's insistence. Today...again he had to insist that another one that has grown really fast, be removed....the Doctor again didn't want to...but he insisted....it comes off on Friday...thank god.

So I know the concern you feel...but if you notice anything unusual...get it checked out...especially if it is increasing in size and becomes itchy...and definitely wasn't there before.

My thoughts are with you...and they won't take as long as some of the others on the site since we live so close...so they are practically knocking at your door already...I pray everything goes well and he gets a clean bill of health soon.

Clint

Edit -- Maybe I should read the entire thread before I post...glad everything is fine now.
