Smugmug or Shutterfly - DPChallenge Forums

Hello. I am looking for a website that offers professional printing services. In other forums, I have seen references to Smugmug and Shutterfly. Could someone tell me which one offers the best services? Thank you.

I used Ofoto until Kodak bought them out. Now I use Kodak or I just upload my pics to the local Walgreens for quick prints. :)

Smugmug

Smugmug has just added several features like backprinting and custom wartermarking. Soon I hope they will be adding packages.

Here is a great supplemental tool to smugmug.

Several are wanting it and I would think after enough express interest in this then they will add it. They have also recently added the ability for us photogrpahers to price digital downloads.

I get my prints done at Coscto because 1) I like the job they do, 2) I like not having to wait for them to come in the mail.

I too am looking for a place to have a website. I am wondering if you have to use their printing services? I would just like a place where of course I could show some of my work and also a place for my customers to sign in to a private area so they could view their photos of whatever I took for them. I don't want everyone to be able to view them. Would smugmug be good for this also?

If you don't need the custom pro pricing and do all that yourself then you can just get the basic one which is only $40/year.

I did just go through and sign up and realized that I had to pick a name and then it has smugmug.com behind it, my question is when I decide if I like it do you know then if I can change it to my own domain address (that I already own)? I really would like it to be my own and not with the smugmug.com at the end. Sorry hope I'm not asking too many questions! :)
