He has also been offline on Yahoo since the 23rd. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. I am also local to Steve.

I'm sure that's not Steve in the golfing thing but you're right, that is his photo of Boyce. He does workshops there sometimes and had an exhibit earlier this year. Daryl said they have contacted the arboretum to be on the lookout for himself and his car. Also Desert Botanical Gardens has been called.

You know, we could fax a flyer over tomorrow. I have a fax here which might be better than just a phone call...
Daryl or Tina did you say you had flyers already? Really, time to sleep now so I will check back in the a.m.

After we get some more information today and Steve is still not found, I plan to make a flyer in my publishing software to print and distribute to the people in his community and surrounding stores. I will convert it to .pdf format so that it can be accessed on the internet.

BUMP-

I know some might find it flaky, but I have a friend who is an uncanny medium. I have sent her a link to the flyer and see if she "gets anything." I figure nothing wrong with exploring all avenues.

Steve is such a super photog friend. I'm sending him light and love.

Tina,
When you make a new flyer, would you be so kind as to share it with us, so that I may check my facts and update the one I made, if neccessary?

Thanks:)

Just another bump. I want to keep this in my forum threads list. I keep hoping for good news everyday.

It's nice to know that a site full of friends and strangers care this much.

I just put some of his photos on the recently commented page so people might read what I said and send them to this thread.

Just a thought, if anyone knows if Steve has any distinguishing marks like tattoos or scars it might be helpful to put that info on the flyer.

I know this may seem extreme to some but we are talking about an adult man that has family and friends and it is out of character for him to go missing. And what makes it extremely concerning is the fact that he has been missing for at least 10 days and cannot be reached by any of his electronic communication devices (i.e. cell phone, computer, or other mobile devises). Also he has gone missing in an area that has two killers on the loose.

I would contact AMW (Americas Most Wanted) not only do they look for wanted criminals they will do a small segment on missing people and ask for views to call their hot line. The flyer that has been made up would serve well for them to post on the program. If you contact them quickly this week it may make it on Saturday nights show.

And with them already doing segments on the Phoenix killings I have no doubt they would be will to post this missing persons alert. Here is the link to their site . They also have a forum that you can post too.

I figure every little thing can help. Try contacting them and see if they can do something for you.

Don't know how much it will help but I sent a link to the flyer out to my email list and will post it on other sites I frequent. Hope he's found soon, happy, healthy and really ticked you all made such a fuss.

Wow. This one has me worried too. I first saw this yesterday and thought it was a plea for help on photography info.

This is not exactly what I expected.

I have nothing but the deepest respect and appreciation for Steve.

I really do hope that he's OK.

My uncle had a bit of a weird episode at around the same age, and disappeared for a month and a half...

Hope to hear some good news soon.

I'd love to be able to see his face when he gets back and finds out how much commotion his little unannounced vacation has caused. :D

I feel very confident that Steve will show up soon. He’s gonna have a lot of ‘splaining to do too.

Has anyone checked to see if he had taken vacation from work? Or has he been missing from there as well?

It's been stated that he doesn't go to a formal work, he's his own boss--he does freelance work.

If no one has yet, please notify any local private airfields where there are flying clubs, flight training, parachute jumping, etc. and have them ask the pilots to keep an eye out for a car like Steve's "parked" somewhere in the outlying desert or near the mountains, etc. If he broke down in a remote area or, heaven forbid, went off the road, it may be VERY difficult to see his car except by air. And the parachute clubs, etc. are often flying low enough to get good visuals - especially if they are aware and looking.

I sure do hope you have the opportunity to give him what-for Daryl... because that will mean he's found safe. I'm just beside myself thinking the worst, and not being able to actually *do* anything is not helping.

Any chance he checked himself in somewhere...alchohol, depression, whatever. Some sort of retreat or something?
07/31/2006 11:49:46 AM · #247
How scary! It does seem like he would have let someone know! Thanks for bringing this to the forefront guys!! Smilebig is right: You guys ROCK!

I was just coming here to post the same suggestion! It certainly looks as though he planned to go and intended to return. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this.

I'm sure he'll turn up fine. I know it's hard to worry (believe me, I've been worrying almost non-stop for about 2 days), but he's okay. I'm sure of it.
