...where, or "when", would you go to take pictures?

I'd go to Rome, around 70 AD.

Don't over-think the thing...just dream a little.

Assuming you were in no danger of getting killed, hit or injured in any way, some of the great battles of history, like Waterloo or Sekigahara.

Waterloo...absolutely!

I would go back to pre-historic stone-age period and take some documentation shots, but heck would anyone believe my shots were real?

I'd go to every single contested event in human history and bring back definitive photographic proof one way or another so everyone could stop arguing.

:D

I'd go see Hadrian's Wall, as it was being built by the Roman soldiers.

As an alternate, I'd go to 1690 and shoot the Battle of the Boyne, because it was the last time that two opposing monarchs actually faced each other on the field of battle.

I'd go into the future when L2 and I are partying it up in RI. And then stay there.

Kind of calls into question the nature of truth, and the photographic image as "real" doesn't it?

The Zapruder film of the JFK assassination does very little to prove, either way, what actually happened.

Makes for an interesting discussion, though.

I'd go do some fashion shoots through out time I love the old clothes. Especially the 1800's

You could shoot famous weddings from history...imagine the profits to be had from the commemorative plates, cups and teapots of the many marriages of Henry VIII!

The photographic time machine is only to be used for the good of all humankind.

Abuses of any sort will be dealt with swiftly and severely.

Your time-travel licence could be revoked and you might find yourself stranded, with dying batteries and shrinking memory, just as the Mongol hordes sweep across the Russian steppes toward Moscow.

How would all that cash help you then, hmm? ;)

Roughly 1480-1519 and follow Leonardo da Vinci

I would travel back to Ancient Egypt. Like around the time with King Tut and Cleopatra... I love Egyptian history! It would be great to actually be there in person and then photograph it!

The grassy knoll.

Fromac, you are a good moderator!

I would choose the "Restaurant at the end of the universe". Dying to find out about that one!

As far as the past goes, imagine documenting Galileo's progress, or DaVinci's! Did they know how forward thinking they were, or did they think they might be insane?

Area 51!
And back to where I could take more pics of my parents growing up, or my grandparents...or Jesus and the disciples at the Last Supper, so Dan Brown could see who was really there. ;-)

Dial in ancient Greece for me please time machine, about 480BC thanks.

I want to see the battle of Thermopylae - 300 spartans holding back one of the biggest armies seen in ancient times. And maybe then jump back 10 years to the battle of Marathon and get some pics of the first marathon runner - and the celebrations in Athens. Its one of the most interesting times in ancient history and the back drop is some of the most beautiful scenery in the world - sure to get some decent photos. The only problem I can see is getting submitting to challenges while I'm gone.

Oh, and and just how big was that trojan horse really?
