MNichigan GTG to see the Tall Ships in Port Huron??

Port Huron Tall Ships

Time: 9AM
Place: TO BE DETERMINED!

SAIL PORT HURON

# WHAT:A maritime festival featuring five tall ships and the Highlander Sea

# WHEN:10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 18 and 19; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 20.

# WHERE:Port Huron Terminal Company located at 2336 Military Street and the Desmond Marine dock located at 207 Water Street. in Port Huron

# COST:Admission will be a cash or perishable-good donation to the Mid City Nutrition soup kitchen.

# ENTERTAINMENT:Sarnia Pipe and Drum Corps is scheduled to perform. Artist J. Chester Armstrong will have wood-carving demonstrations.

I would love to, however, August is normally slow at my work, the good part being I probably could easily get the time off, the bad part, I may not have the money to go...
So, I guess I am a maybe, won't know til it get's closer.

wish i had been older when they came here... 8 of them stayed in the bay i can see from my house... i remember going out to them during my sailing lessons. then, there were like 20 in new london, i think. it was cool, but i wasn't a photographer then... : (

the tall ships visit all kinds of places... maybe they'll come near you this summer Looks like Sailfest has the Tall Ships at it .. so you may have to wait until next summer for them in New London, CT
