Ok... I went with these following rules...
"Make an image that whispers serenity, simplicity, harmony. Make an image as silent as can be."
and I think my image is. I don't care what zen is, or isn't at this point.
or i will go nuts before midnight... I"m gonna turn into "zen-man" or some sort.
:/ |

this doesn't feel like zen anyway ;-)

Hmmm... you got me thinkin' I should change my title...
"Simple harmony"
"Serenity harmonized"
"Silent harmonic whispering simplicity"
What do y'all think? |

OMG...I got this all wrong...it's a cacaphony of colors and textures and motion and anger....and no time to reshoot...oh well...it's staying

Perhaps "Hallelujah Chorus in D Minor", particularly since that would have very little if anything at all to do with my picture. In which case it would be very "zen"...
But I can't use that now, or you'll all know it's mine! Back to the drawing board... And such a good title that was, too! |

Yeap... mine has colors and texture as well.
I think I should change my prediction from upper 4s to upper 3s... or Brown ribbon...

Mine has color. Then again, so does my B&W entry, which was apparently not a good thing...
I can never predict scores on my own work accurately. I don't even try these days! |

I'm not gonna guess on scores...because I don't know jack about the scores. But it would be nice to have no 1 votes.

Lest I get too excited like I did with On the Beach, I think I have a good title and a good shot. Here's to hoping! |

A good way to "Un-stess" is going and watch your Zen entry again... If it calms you, means that is a Zen picture! and if it is a Zen picture, you know you will do ok in the challenge ;) |

Mine involves something many people will associate with violence but it is not the main focus of the pic, the main focus is the stillness and concentration needed to use the item. |

Ok, so now we just need to look for an image with someone using a weapon, most likely a gun. Could be archery (requires stillness and concentration), but most people won't associate archery with violence. So, yep - must be a gun. Thanks for the hint (3rd one in this thread so far). ;^) |
