Hey,

I would like to print up some calendars for 2007. I would like to know where is the best place on line to have calendars made?

I am always curious to hear about what other types of experiences people have.

I make them every year at home. Unless you're doing very many it's a good alternative.

Kodak also has a calendar feature, but I use Photographer's Edge for the blanks and place my photos into them. I have sold some classic car/hotrod and flower calendars and am making a sepia version for 1860s style Wichita.

If you are a member, I believe Costco has a good deal on calendars -- click on the link to the photo center.

I used Kodak the first year I made calendars. They had a problem with their print run on mine - had lines running through some of the shots. However, they did reprint them for me. The photos did not fill the 8.5X11 inch page. The print quality was about the same as my HP1315 printer.

I used Shuttefly last year and was pleased with the result. I used their larger size - the photo filled the page and print quality was good. I also ordered while they were on sale. I'm not sure that cost wise it is cheaper to print at home. But then I also don't know for sure how much each page costs. If each photo page costs $1.00 to print at home . . . . . then you are looking at $12.00 at least - I did not pay much more than that to have them done - maybe less. I don't remember the price from last fall.

It may or may not be cheaper to do it at home but you can check the results as you go and fill it up with all of your families important occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, etc) as well as use any design/font you like.

I gave away personalized calendars last year, my genealogy program printed the dates of people's birthdays and I printed them out at home, was easy in that most paper prints good on one side then fine for the text on the other. Only problem I had was the front page. I needed to switch paper to get a descent print on the first page. My work has a machine for making the holes and buying the spiral rings was cheep.

I used microsoft word for the project

I'm using Dotphoto.com

Uploaded 12 photos, and ordered one as a proof. It came out nice. I thought two of the photos came out a little darker and two a little grainier. Was tempted to re-edit and resubmit those four, but Mrs. Wonderful said no one would notice, and she is always right.

Dotphoto.com has a 20% discount right now also.
