I was just at the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts at Penn State. I talked to numerous digital photographers and it seemed that every one of them did their own printing. I am interested in doing some poster size prints. The only local place that I know of is kinkos and they are expensive. From what I have seen and heard, online print places are somewhat expensive when you factor in the shipping. My question for you: what kind of printer would I need and how much should I expect to spend? What DPI's are considered minimum for decent quality artwork. Where would I get paper?

Please let me know if you have any answers or any other tips that would help me possibly get my artwork into some houses or dorm rooms for relatively cheap per print.
