Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED

Half an hour ago I got a phonecall from my sister's friend. He saw what I've been doing, and was pretty amazed about my work. He asked me if I wanted to shoot his client, a young singer (he's his "manager"), photos for his very first album!

wow.

WOW!

Of course I want to! He wants me to shoot something "artsy", so I think that won't be a problem. I want to shoot in a studio (that might be a problem, but I think that'll work out too). We didn't talk about prizes, or specific things about the shoot, but I want to go sit around the table with them, to check what they have in mind..

This is getting serious.. I'm so excited!!

Great. Maybe you can incorporate one or more of the last 50 themes in challenges such as "Line", "Shadow", "Perspective", "glass" or bottle, etc.. Any category fitting the image they want to portray.

There are plenty of ideas to search among the ribbon winners, too.

There are a lot of samples (on the internet) that already exists to point to for examples.

Noo, your already our 'Supergirl' stick with what you have (until your rich and 'more' famous). If this agent has more clients you could be on to a winner and if he 'knows' peeps so much the better. Think of a price you'd love to earn then tell him you'll do a special offer for that price if he touts your name around :)

Oh, and congratulations at even getting to the table. You do great work and as he came to you make sure you get a good deal. Just to get a look in people like myself might do a free shoot (many do first time) but then you might struggle somewhat to get what you deserve.

@ Ecce: hmm I want to have some new flashes, but I'm gonna think about it first before I make a decision I'm gonna regret. Same goes for the price!

Absolutely! Got some ideas (pretty weird ideas I have to say ;-)) and have to think those out for a while. If they're gonna be confirmed, I won't need a studio, so that's one thing I don't have to worry about anymore..

Right now I'm getting the nerves in my head. Got the final ideas (very cool and "artsy" like they asked)

Decided to go for it and gonna order a full studio equipment set (flashes, background etc etc) so I won't be dependent for renting a studio or equipment.

Will keep you posted if something happens!

working with musicians is increidbly hard so I say with all my heart good luck to you!

I almost killed my clients.

But I love the feeling of seeing my photo and design on the cover of their album, that just rocks and was worth the trouble.

"If" infers that it's not a certain thing.... it may NOT happen.

"When" infers that it WILL, just not certain of the time that it will.

All a matter of positive thinking! ;)
