We had that hot spell here for about 3 day's with temps in the mid 90's dew point around 70 hard to breathe in that crap... got a little break today some of the humid air has gone away and the temps dropped about 10 degrees. Actually pretty nice out there right now.

The actual temperature here in DC is 100 degrees, but the heat index is 110!

Finally cooled off here today! It only got up to 83. Back near 90 by Thursday though...

Didn't it get to 117 the other day, or is that Redbluff that always breaks the record each year?

It was 113 here in Chico yesterday and 108 today last I checked

When I was much younger, spent my summers in Humboldt county. In the middle of the valley, a small town named Hyampom. Caught some nice large trout in the Tinity river.

Spare a thought for us Brits! Its been sooo hot here and tomorrow...

Wednesday

Sunrise 05:07 (BST)
Sunset 21:13 (BST) 95°F

95F (35C) may not be very hot to a lot of you over the other side of the pool but its way unusual for us to have temps like this. Hopefully it will cool off and we can get back to our July average of 21c!

melting now - not a breath of air

Yes it was 117* the other day... I think our high yesterday was 111*

101 yesterday
100 today
and forecast for 103 tomorrow.
(from local news)

Very hot!

I feel for everyone that that has heat above that.

I can tolerate the cold a lot better than I can tolerate the heat. I rarely wear a coat in the winter and my standard mantra through the cold Michigan winter is "Beats 90".

I live in Florida. Its supposed to be hot. I'm not allowed to complain. :(

A couple of years ago I spoke with a friend of mine who lived in Lake Havasu City, AZ and I told him that I thought that 110F is hot even if it is a dry heat. He laughed and told me that 128F was hot. I thought he was full of BS but he wasn't.

It's no joke. I remember 122 in Phoenix so 109 is cake!

The most heat I have encountered was Las Vegas, 110 deg. And that was to much even with the humidity low.

Fourth day in a row of rain here, so it's not as hot as it might be (like last week it was hot...)

I might be wrong, but I think death valley gets to 132F, and lol, poor france, every summer that it gets in the upper 90s, a ton of french people start dying, literally, from the heat

I guess it's all what you're used to

Well it got to 113 today ...

I'm with you...I would much rather be a lot cold than a little hot. You can usually put on more cloths but you've only got so much you can take off.

It was killer hot here in northern Illinois yesterday (today MUCH better), I even joked after coming in from lunch and told someone that I just saw on the news that people in downtown Chicago were setting themselves on fire because it was cooler than the air around them.

I miss air conditioning.

Actually, I just miss the cold. It's been hovering around 90 in the day here in Pittsburgh...with an apartment where I can't really open the windows and I have a machine that puts out an obnoxious amount of heat...it kind of hurts. I'm not even sweating anymore D:

It's kinda funny,

during the winter, I am envious of the cold weather in the states.
during the summer....I am laughing at you all ;o)

I guess 85-90 and humid year round is ok, 50 % of the time..LOL

I walked out into my garage and it reminded me of last summer when I was in the Sahara. 125º in the shade, 135º in the sun. It only hit 101 here in wisconsin, but the humidity was crazy high, then we had storm warnings with a hail watch. Crazy stuff.

The latest I've heard they are predicting 102 on Friday and 106 on Saturday in Portland, OR.

This does not bode well for my garage sale. :(

I love Oregon in the sunshiney summer but.. bleh. Triple digits is not happy.

Hm.. maybe I should have a cooler of bottled water and sell them too..

Edited to put in correct days
