Formula 1 and/or WRC (World Rally Championship) photographer. Racing is a personal hobby of mine, I do amateur autosports photography as well, so it would be win-win. :)

American freelance artist living in Italy, taking pictures of whatever I feel like at the time.

Or, another self-employment, traveling the world, finding fantastic local cuisines, and getting the chef to teach me to make it. Then I would take photos of the whole experience and write it up as equal parts Lonely Planet, Iron Chef, and Frances Mayes for a cookbook travelogue and photo book.

I think I'd like the job of an official NASCAR photog or be the photog for one of the teams.

Playboy would be cool, but basically I'd be doing what I do now with fancier equipment and faker models.

For me the ultimate photography dream job would be National Geographic, focusing on wildlife. I love photographing animals in their natural habitat. Would love the opportunity to go to Africa, Australia, India and really get great "in the wild" shots. MMMM....a girl can dream.

Well she took the cake!

I would love to be a travel photog... the places one sees and how one sees them. To be able to give one's own perspective of places around the globe.

Absolutely wow!

offical photographer for a major rock festival and/or band - tour the world, hang out in dark bars and listen to loud music, drink lots.... of water - can't risk getting beer on the camera.

ultimate dream job?

my ultimate dream is to not have to rely upon a job. my ultimate dream scenario would be to have the freedom to go where and when I want, camera in tow, shooting damn near everything this planet has to offer. if in the meantime I managed to sell those shots one way or another, that would be great.

Is there a certain magazine you'd love to work for? a studio of your own? a specific company?

Let's hear it!!

I'd love to own a studio of my own. Unfortunately, that is going to be a ways off with my husband in the military. Only 9 more years till he retires ;o)

my Ultimate Photography Dream Job would be to work for National Geographic and to be able to travel everywhere and take photos. I think their photographers and photos are awesome, I love their photography and I am always looking at their photos in the magazines and website.

That would be my dream job to work for them.

I would have my own studio out in the country. It would have a complete professional kitchen and chefs from all over the world would come and cook and I would photograph them and the final products for menu, brocures, adverts, ect. And I would learn new cooking stuff as we went along. That would be the best!

There are a couple, one is National Geographic (of course), two is to be the Denver Broncos team photographer, and three is to shoot ski photos all day, every day.

A season of MotoGP from the inside (benefit = travel all over the world with a lot of time to do travel photography as well).

I'm going to start my own magazine, sort of a cross between National Geographic, Life, and Conde Nast Traveler. They will pay me lots of money to go to exotic locations and shoot pictures of whatever I want. The magazine will be such a success (because of my pictures) that I will be able to retire and take even more pictures of whatever I want. (If you're going to wish, wish big.)

' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', '/') + 1) . ' Joey Lawrence's assistant. LOL

but seriously. Probably an abercrombie & fitch photographer. Photographing teens, and young hip adults in all sorts of edgy clothing.

I would like a larger studio with large windows and a few cool walls for naturally lit pics. Would be interested in photographing the extreme sorts of things. Traveling to poor countries and doing journalistic photography also.

World Cup 2010 would be insanely cool as well!!!

Yeah, that would be great, any company like that.
I'd like to work for RideBMX - their main photographer wrote an article about how much time he spent travelling, shooting, actually riding, in the office, or off work, and the off work days were pretty scarce. I think it'd be cool anyway though, get to go on road trips or shoot photo/video with riders, get to travel to a bunch of places and meet a lot of people, etc.

If I get tired of my job, maybe I'll try being a photojournalist like Skiprow, but I don't think I could be as good as he is.

My dream is to travel the world and visit all the places that I have always wanted to see, taking photographs and gettin' paid for it. Japan is top of my list, but I would quite like to do a modern exploration of the Grand Tour.

I'm working my way up, finding my photographic muse again and getting rid of the day job to do some freelance work before taking the plunge after I get married next september.

The way I see things is that every success story starts out with a dream. I'd rather try and fail than keep wondering if I ever could have made it.

The standard of photography on this site is pretty good from what I see, so I would say to anyone "Go for it".
