Just picking myself of the floor from falling over in shock from Ken posting a flower shot!

For the record, that flower is now dead and it's village destroyed. :)

But did you save the ladybugs? That is the question!

I tried. I really did. But everytime I reached down to scoop them to safety, I forgot I had the torch in that hand. ;-P

Omg, I found the BEST source of ladybugs the other day! A patch of thistles covered with aphids, with red ants "farming" the aphids and ladybugs eating them. (I compared the ants to dairy farmers and the ladybugs to cattle ranchers). Took loads of crappy shots, and would have taken some bugs home if I'd had a container. I finally found one ladybug who didn't scurry away when my lens touched him, but the problem was, he climbed right onto it! Silly bug, just SIT STILL!

oops, sorry for the highjack... we now return you to your regularly scheduled RED.

That's when you grab a pin and and stick it through him onto the branch...all ya gotta do is clone the pin out later...oh and remember to take the pin back...ya never know when you may find another ladybug that won't sit still. Hehehehe!!

Wow. Thanks, people, for indulging me on this. Starting to find a new obsession in windshield wipers.

I apologize for this late update as I would've let this thread rot had it not been for my tching impulse to thank people and to clear things up.

I love how people fluently use 'gay' as an substitue for something bad without considering who they are possibly offending.

I was surprised by this. Really. This wasn't what I meant, but then again, I guess it's unavoidable for some people to find something offensive in everything they see or hear. Or read.
What's more surpriseng, however, was seeing Master Keiran defending, or at least sharing, my views on this.
He elucidates:

PS. Personal views aside, my reference to 'gay' is merely to something that I'm not. My avoidance is related to not wanting to give an erroneous portrayal of myself. Presumably the OP had something similar in mind.

My sentiments exactly. Anyways, thank yous and apologies. Anyways, feel free to continue this thread or let it rot.
