Have you considered merging the j and the k into a single shape? Something like this:

#8... for several reasons.

It looks classier. Is it j & k or just jk photography? #8 is the only one that has the & sign which adds to the overall design IMHO. It also bears no resemblence to j/k (internet slang for just kidding)....

Edit to add...
I like bears suggestion also

Number #1 I liked best...probably not 'professional'...but it had a 'fun' look to it. what audience are you (or client) shooting for?

I think the logo should represent the type of business you want to run and clientle you want to attract. If you are going to concentrate on family portraits, than #11 is good. If you want to be more commercial/professional, then #3 or #9 work.

You also have one showing J&K, which implies two people, whereas JK implies someone's initials.

#1 and #11...they work best as logos...easy readability...easily reproduced in print...any of the ones with overlapping characters can cause havok with certain projects (depending on where you plan to use it)...the tilting of the 'k' adds a little fun, but still keeps a professional look...from one designer to another, good job ;-)

I like what bear came up with. i also like number 3. number 8 looks like a clothing line logo , its a bit too close for comfort you might get in trouble.. also if your initials are j.k then the "&" sign will make you seem like you have a partner.

I like them all except 4, 9, and 12. I think the simplicity of these is perfect.
