you're out taking photos and you trip and fall on cement. As you fall, you instintively cup your hands around your camera and twist your body to assure the camera doesn't hit the cement, without regard to protecting fragile body parts.

Well.... I have insurance to cover broken body parts, but no insurance to replace a broken camera. :)

You switch the camera to shutter-priority/high-speed and macro mode so you get a clear shot of the concrete just before the moment of impact.

...you substitute the word "camera" for "gun" in the film Full Metal Jacket. "This is my camera. There are many like it but this one is mine. ...Without me, my camera is useless. Without my camera, I am useless..."

You sleep with your camera more than you do your spouse!

You bring your camera into the house when returning from the grocery store (don't YOU take YOURS EVERYWHERE?) before the frozen foods and perishable items.

You use your wife as your 'bag bitch' to carry all your extra bits of kit, batteries, cards etc while you are too busy taking pictures.

Get funny looks when i call her 'bag bitch'...

To celebrate getting laid off, you (I mean I) spend $4500 on a Canon 10D, lenses, CF cards, Super Digibin, Tamrac bag, etc...) Now I just need to order those Alien Bees studio lights and I can start making some money with this stuff! (Either that's backwards thinking, or it is the move of a brave entrepreneur!)

Wish me luck...

.....you just about rear-end the rubbernecker in front of you, trying to get your camera out to take a picture of the wreck up ahead so you can enter it in the "oops" challenge!

Once fallen and finding the skinned up knee the bruised wrist and other mangled body parts you begin taking photos of your injuries to share with your fellow photographyholics.

Last summer I was jogging with my camera (I mean, who doesn't jog with their camera, right???) and I was so focused on getting to the perfect spot in time to shoot the sunset that I stepped off the edge of the road wrong and broke my ankle in three places...

Not a mark on the camera, though... Hah! (And I've thoroughly convinced myself the sunset wasn't that great, anyways...)

You wake up at 3:16 am and the first thing that hits your mind is a great idea for the current running challenge... Then you fall asleep again and in the morning you are pulling your hair because you don't remember what the idea was :-(((

You dream in B&W + one colour...

You can't find your wallet, your checkbook, or your keys but ..... you know exactly where your camera is

You've spent more money on camera equipment, and photography books in the last 6 months than you have on laundry, and stuff you need for work.

Not that I would know. I'm just guessing
