If someone shoots roman candles at me while I shoot and they miss cause I,m very very fast. would my photo get DQ,D for dodge + Burn?

To remind people, the idea here isn't a challenge to enter a crappy photo...

I'm interested to see how people are going to score this. I'm assuming it will be hard to "forget" how we are used to seeing pictures and the scores are going to be low.

Still worth a little experiment. I'm happy enough to enter mine and be doomed to a 5.5.

It appears cropping is not my issue, but the level horizon sure is. I have a pretty cheap tripod, but I always tend to cram it into really weird places where levelling would require at least 12 inches difference between the leg lengths.

I decided not to enter this challenge. I can't think of something to take a photo of, and that's only frustrating.

Besides, I've got a lot of commenting to do, so the flower-challenge is enough for me today :)

For me its the curves and brightness/contrast settings, all my DSLR photos have an almost "gray" layer on top of them..grr

That's why we buy Manfrottos and their ilk, Doc :-) I wish I had taken a shot of my tripod setup the other day. 10-22mm lens at 10mm, from a bridge, had to avoid including the bridge railing, so two legs short as possible and at nearly right angles to the column, resting ON the railing, and one leg on the roadway... plus a restraining line tied around the tripod head, through the camera strap, so no matter what went over, nothing would land in the marsh :-)

Yes, you need to carry a skinny little point and shoot to document setups such as that. Priceless!

The sensor dust is really getting to me this time. :(
Even at f/11 it's splattered all over, tried using the rocket blower, didn't do much to help.

All of my good straight out images are of flowers. :~p

I'm afraid I'll get nothing but threes if I enter one. People are so sick of them.

Hah! Hardly, only have one per 10 entries, there are HEAPS that have a higher ratio than that :)

Any one else run into the Ol' "What you see in the view finder, is not exactly what the camera writes to CF" (as far as the total scene goes),

Sheesh...I did't know we was missing that much in the view finder.... Got some stuff on the edges that I know was not there when I composed.
