Last Saturday, I went to the Fremont Fair in Seattle.
It was quite a sight - I loved it!!

I'm not asking for critiques on the photos (even though they are always welcome, good or bad). They were taken to remember the occasion. They are far from perfect, most are straight out of the camera or close to it.
I just wanted to share the joy of the occasion.

If you're interested, here is a link to the slideshow.

Please feel free to say hello in the guest book.

Here is a sample:

I think this is one of those cases where you wished the girls had left their shirts on... ;)

edited:to say...the dudes are no bargain either but most of them make me look like John Holmes.

Looks like a fun time.

NY's Gay Pride Parade is coming up soon. I have no interest in the parade whatsoever but the Dykes On Bikes usually open the show and I think it might be photoworthy.

sweet... that kinda parade would NEVER happen here. Hell, Mobile Police have even started arresting and fining flashers at Mardi Gras. I live amongst prudes!

Gay Pride March

I've been an honorary Lesbian for years....just ask my girlfriend. I'm really looking forward to The Dykes On Bikes....the rest of the pararde will probably gross me out a bit but there's gonna be tons of hilarious photo-ops.

I think his clubs are bigger than that.

Is this what the fremont parade is? A gay parade? I've heard of them but I was unaware they rode bikes nude with paint on themselves.

I found the picture of the brightly painted red asian man with the 'huge' protruding phallic unit to be trying to compensate...he had a tiny weiner :)

I took the time to visit your slideshow and really enjoyed what I saw. I was really impressed by the creativity of the costumes, and the "Joie de vivre" exhibited by both participants and spectators.

I was rather surprised however that something of this nature was permitted by the authorities in Seattle, as I always considered same to be a rather conservative city.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow, I'm impressed. That't the sort of thing you would expect from Europe and NOT USA.
Some great and fun pictures.
Amazing how many participants there were!

Its not a gay parade really at all. THe nude bikers are always at fremont parades. Fremont is one of quirkiest and funkiest little neighborhoods in seattle. Full of strange shops, coffee, good food and music. It is also a very very liberal area and that is why this thing is no big deal. I love fremont and it is one of coolest neighborhoods of seattle. The nude bikers are almost old tradition though there has been some controversy in recent years (I think).

The short version is Fremont ROCKS. Good pictures. Octoberfest is coming soon to a fremont near you!

Wow thanks for posting. The cars are wild, I can't imagine how long they spent working on them.

Seattle conservative? No way. It is one of the most liberal cities in the country. Now the more rural areas of Washington State they are conservative. Politics out here is a hoot. We are like two different States (split personality) and argue like hell.

P.S. - in the old days the police used to try and stop the nude bikers but they would do stealth rides and streak through. Now-a-days nobody cares and the police have long since given up.

The subject matter of the photos doesn't bother me, but I am curious. Which part qualifies as artistic nudity? The fact that they dabbed a bit of paint here and there or that you took a picture of it?

Most likely it is the riders feel they are making a statement by riding nude that makes it artistic.
