Yay! I got my first ribbon - the brown.
Not surprising. And I'm not complaining. I really enjoyed being able to take advantage of the advanced editing to put into practice some new things I'd learned but never tried. And now I know how to use adjustment layers! I'm pretty sure that if I had entered a standard looking picture, I would not have seen the need for that new tactic.
I knew before I entered this that I'd get a horrible score. I just didn't think I'd get some of the comments that I got, although I suppose I should have expected those as well! I think the most helpful comment during the challenge was that the lack of focus made it confusing - I mean, I know it wasn't focused, but it was nice to know exactly why that was a problem for someone.
So I'm rambling. I think the point here is this: Sometimes I go back through challenges and look at low scorers, and see if I can comment on something redeeming about the picture. I got one positive comment but if anyone else sees something nice in this, I'd love to hear it.
I also like placing photos in my favorites that I like but maybe got a low score for not meeting the challenge, for example. I'm not asking for that because I know that even if you're just looking at a subset of photos, abstracts, mine is nothing special! :-D
