6.0537 right now, but it'll be down next vote, which will be a 5, then back up the vote after, which will be an 8... that's the way it's been going, at least!

I have GOT to keep my finger off that update button!
9 votes averaging 7 overnight, then the first time I hit the update it's a 4.... Last night, last time I hit it, it was a bump DOWN. Maybe if I turn off scores I'll do better? :)

I'm taking a beating.. I think I need to quit this site and come back later when I have thicker skin.. The worst part is I get all these great messages but continue to get 3's and 4's and 5's..

Hang in there. The low scores can be demoralizing. But the good comments and suggestions can be uplifting.

There will always be those that make themselves feel better by degrading others.

I see you had a few entries (If I am not mistaking) and I am pretty sure if you continue, you will get better scores.

In my case, I am only honored to be here with photographers from all over the world, and share my work and have fun.

I get really down sometimes too, wonder why I even try when they just score average. But someone said recently (have tried to find it and can't) something to the effect that it doesn't mean you're only an average photographer, it means that you're average among some of the BEST photographers there are :)

Hang in there, learn all you can from the forums and from observing others' shots, ask questions, and you'll be totally amazed at the progress. (doesn't hurt to also get to know DPC voters' tastes either, which will come quickly enough!)

I think my first 3 scores were all sub 5. But since I have stuck with it, didnt let low scores (or a DQ) get me down and now I have eight 6+ scores and working on a new PB (not in this challenge by a long shot). You will find your way. No sense at all to quit after just 3 challenges. And like someone else said (whom I hope to beat by a couple of hundredths of a point) average in this group of photographers is nothing to shake a stick at.

I am still hovering around 6. For me I know when I put something in to just be in. Does not fly well around here. But I did just put this together 1 hour before deadline. I did have in mind what I was going to do all week. Have 15 comments 90 percent positive and 10 not really negative, its just there thoughts. Which are always helpful.

i'm getting absolutely glowing comments, and the score just toddles along in mediocrity. i guess with the people who seem to love the image are those who really hate it!

My god! My score is getting bashed severely this morning (Aussie time)! It was holding up quite well. It's always a poke in the eye when your first vote you receive is a 10! *sigh*
