These kinds of Charlatans only hinder the image. Lord knows, enough gullible people/s have been led astray. I even trust some would claim that of me.

It is ever important to read for understanding. Challenge claims or interpretations proposed and strive to compare any teachings with the quoted words of Christ.

edit to add: Yearn to discern between church doctrine and scriptual philosophy

How in the heck is that article "evidence" that Christians don't have a clue? It seems to me the only people in that article that don't have a clue is his "church."

And yes, I do agree that you have to be able to discern between doctrine and scriptual philosohpy, though those two words, to me, aren't a lot different. For me, it is more a difference between a "religion" and a relationship.

The article exposes another group of "christians" as splintering off. This, is evidence that either the original was flawed or the splintered group is flawed, regardless both can't be right, thus, christianity can't be dependable. These are arguments presented by non-believers. They cite the numerous changes in doctrine, teachings, rules and interpretations and thus argue that all can't be the "true" teachings of the same "saviour" thus the saviour's message must be flawed or so open to interpretation that it is not worth listening to in the first place. This kind of "church" does not "further" the cause of christianity, but rather hinder it - imo.

It is a pretty tall task to argue for the inherent "truth" of the Messiah's message, when there are over 900 different denominations all claiming a heritage to the original "church".

Ist century christians, Catholics (universal), Greek Orthodox, the Protesting Catholics (Protestants), then the protesting Protestants, and of course the "other" groups like linked above. No wonder the anti's have a field day with claiming the "non" existence of God.

edit to add: actions of "prophets" must be measured against the quoted words of Christ. This is the only measure we have to discern between those who claim to be and those who are. 3 diamond studded Rolexs and several armored BMW/Lexus does not appear to me to replicate the quoted words of Christ. It is true he stated to Mary Magdelen to anoit his feet with an expensive perfume and that we would always have the poor, however...

OK, time for y'all to take the tinfoil off of your heads and return to reality.

The sign Bush is giving is the "Hook em Horns" the universal salute for fans, students, alumni and others associated with the University of Texas.

Has nothing to do with Satan, Buddha or visiting aliens.

So, to answer your question, yes.

Sorry if I seemed a little over excited in my post.

Actually, so would I, if only in the hope that people will notice what's going on before a second American Revolution becomes necessary.

"People" noticed what was going on in Iraq (and numerous other places) and are trying to help them and what do the liberals and sociocomms say?

Considering that Bush is a Texan (by association anyway) I doubt he's making a salute to Satan, or a rude European hand gesture.
