| You know, I didn't read the theme. I thought it said Song title, so I decided to enter the other one. If I had read the theme, I would have definitely entered, because I took all kinds of shots this week that would have done well as a lyric. Anyway, I have been very pleased with the entries I've seen so far. You all did a really wonderful job. Come on all you trolls, if you don't know the lyric being done, then vote on the technical and conveyance of the idea. These are really great shots. |

I've reported it. This is a photography challenge, not a challenge to see if THAT COMMENTOR knows all Beatles music. JUDGE THE PHOTOGRAPHY!!!

I got the same remark, but it wouldnt have bothered me either way.
A lot of people would vote like that, but they wouldnt say it. At least this guy is honest, so give him credit for that. |

My voting scheme for this challenge:
If I can't determine the song by looking at the top left quadrant of the photo there's no way you're getting above a 5.
If I can tell which *album* by looking at the lower right quadrant you get an instant 10.
Seems pretty fair, don't you think?

I haven't entered any challenges for months - got a bit fed up with low scores and couldn't get any inspiratiopn from the challenge titles. Since the Beatles were my teenage idols and I have most of their music, I couldn't miss this one.
A pity my entry isn't as good as their music!
By the way - some definitely dodgey titles in this one! A bit more research required by some people, methinks!

Just a note... it's a title or LYRICS - I used lyrics and I got a DNMC comment because they couldn't "guess" the TITLE by the looking at the picture!

And I meant the titles of the entries NOT the titles of the songs! My own entry is a lyric although I have said which song it is from.
I meant that some of the titles of the photos are dodgey Beatle songs or lyrics!

With a catalog of over 300 songs, I bet even McCartney couldn't remember them all. What kills me is that I got this comment too, cut and pasted from the looks of it, and the title couldn't possibly be any more obvious if it were a frying pan to the forehead.

| Okay now I don't feel so bad..Cindi, that was the exact quote I got too. So at least he is doing it for everyone. I guess everyone that entired the challenge (unless you put the title or song lyric in the actual photo) got a lower score. |

I won't give a photo a lower score if I don't recognize the song immediately.
I'm very happy! I started with a 5.5 and it's 6.26 now. Woohoo! I didn't expected a 6+ at all, because I was afraid people found it a bit out of the box. So, I'm very, very happy with this score. |

Awesome job on the Beatles challnge everyone! I had a blast voting in this one. I don't have an enrty (I went with Single Light Source).
High marks from me on a lot of the entries.
Suprising number of Elanor Rigby entries, surprisingly few Here Comes the Sun or Good Morning, Good Morning enrties.

Nothing can be out of the box Elvi. This is basically a Free Study with the title binding it to the challenge. Think about it. There are thousands of lines from songs and lyrics. Unless someone enters a photo of a disco king and calls it "Stayin' Alive", no one should be receiving the DNMC comment nor be out of the box ;) |

I got a comment that my picture wasn't immediately obvious what song. IMHO, if my picture's not immediately obvious, then you have a serious lack of knowledge of all things Beatles.
