Are you talking about prints? You have uploaded a large file for that, so that doesn't get affected. The 800 is just so you can have bigger photos in your portfolio, it does not impact prints. Hope I understood your question right :)

Oh, and thanks, D&L. I don't really use the portfolio much but I know how much it means to some of the other members :)

So am I correct in assuming that any images you now have loaded at 640 will have to be re-loaded for the new size?

Not a big deal since no one has bought my stuff and I only have like 20 in there but for some this may be a lot of work.

Huh? Where did that come from? I was referring to the post 2 above mine.

Yeah, and I was responding to a post further up (the one quoted in my post)
:)

No big deal but was interested in knowing. It's easier to have one renewal date than two.

Unfortunately the expiration dates would stagger. I was considering, if the demand was there, creating a way to purchase a pro-rated upgrade, but was hoping that the additional 25 MB would tide anyone over until renewal.

No probs Franz!

So what would happen if I renewed my membership, but got an extended portfolio 6 months later. If I let my membership go the next year, would I still have a portfolio for another 6 months?

Thank you for the answer. BTW great job on the extra feature.

Seems like it would just stagger the one time though.

Or maybe just wait until you renew or renew both at the same time on your own.

I really would like to know this before I decide whether or not to renew my membership?

He's a busy, busy man.

I'm sure he'll give you a more complete answer if he wants to. :)

Bobster Lobster -- I really don't know the answer to your question. Up until now, when your membership lapses, your portfolio is still *there* just not visible anymore, but I don't know for how long. I'm not sure how it will work now. I'll call attention to your question to Langdon, as he's probably the only one who can say.

Since your membership renewal is coming up quickly, possibly the best way to get the question to Langdon is open a ticket directed to the admins. (Under Help>Contact)

Or are you...half empty?

Now that we can upload 800x800 images, what's the file size limit? Is it still 150K, or..?
06/02/2006 12:57:32 PM · #118
There's never been a file size limit for portfolios, just for challenge entries.

Good job, DPC Founders.

I hope not, I'm still waiting for an answer to my question!
I'll see if I can get around to sending a pm, but in the meantime I'm letting my membership go.

You got a response. Karma told you to submit a ticket. Why not just submit one instead of posting here again?
