I just removed about 70-80 critiques from Critique Club status that most certainly do NOT comply with CC standards. I also removed the user from the Critique Club. (old user has not critiqued this year anyway)

I will take this time to remind ALL Critique Club members that when giving 'in depth' critiques, we expect more than just 3 or 4 lines of text that don't really say much about the photo. Examples of the critiques in which I removed the CC status on are...

"10 out of 10! My favorite so far."

"Not bad for a beaten up setup. The edge of the Book could be better set in focus. Light is good, the background is fair."

"Not really to the subject... The clouds would look much better with higher cotrast. Also some reference point is missing in the composition."

While I realize that the information contained in the critiques are helpful, they certainly are not in depth, and do not meet the standards of what the CC expects. Please keep this in mind when doing CC crits.
As I have time, I will continue going through the Critiques made by the members and making sure they meet CC standards. If not, I may remove the CC status and send a friendly reminder to the Critic that the comments are intended to be 'in depth'. If you are questioning weather your critiques may or may not be acceptable, feel free to contact us and we can review them and let you know if you're on the right track.
Also, as I've mentioned before, if you see a CC critique that you question, please feel free to report it either by the 'report post' button, PM to me, or the 'new' Critique Club section of the 'Contact Us' area and we will review it.

Thanks to all the members for your hard work and dedication to the CC. As always, if anyone is interested in joining, feel free to contact me directly or use the Contact Us/Critique Club thingy.

Is there a way of knowing if my critiques were removed from Critique Club status? It would be worth a relook for learning on how to critique.

There's a classic no-no on the Critique Club front page right now [/img]

I'm new at the CC and try to do my best , the truth is that I spend much time looking at the photo but sometimes it's hard to post a critique , sometimes because it has ribbonned and there's nothing left to add , sometimes because photographer doesn't explain in the photographer's comment box what he has "tryed" to do or what were her/his intentions.

Maybe the photographer wants your objective opinion, unprejudiced by what you've read their "intentions" are ...

Publicly calling out a critique in the forums, was NOT one of the options I mentioned. :)
Again, if anyone sees a critique that they find questionable, please use 'report post', PM to me, or goto Contact Us and list it as Critique Club. Thanks.
As for the crit in question, Rex hit it...note that it said.

Message edited by HBunch - Critique Club status removed.

That is the actual crit that was left, I simply removed CC status. The reason it still showed up on the CC page was because that isn't updated often and I had removed status while it was on the main page.

And a bump for the day crowd.

I would send you a note. I'll check over the crits you've given and PM you.

No harm done, the user hasn't been active in quite some time. The main page isn't updated frequently, so even after I had noticed it and removed the CC status, it remained on the main page cause it wasn't updating. However, it will not show up in the future as a CC comment.
There is no way that I can read every single CC comment, so yes, it is very helpful if anyone notices one that is not appropriate, to let me know so I can take care of it. Thanks for looking out...

I've done 16 over the last couple of days, but if you look at my critiques, you'll know that it takes a lot of time and energy.. a lot.

So.. If I'm slow and methodical, hey.. people will have to deal :)
