There are other ways but that's the quickest to explain. :)

If you have a firewall/router, you will need to check the IP address that it is using to determine your public facing IP.

If you do not have this type of device, and you are using a Windows based machine, open a command prompt and type ipconfig. That should tell you the IP address you are currently using.

edit: mk's answer is a lot easier and more elegant :-)

yes that's the quickie way, but it wont do any good if you are behind a proxy server. So it depends what you need your IP address for.

If you want to know your system ip address follow these steps:
Start--->run-->Type cmd
Then command prompt will display.
type ipconfig
then it will display your system ip address.

To know your Network IP address then visit IP-details.com here they display Internet service provider,IP address, location, Longitude,latitude and so on.

I will teach you a trick (this is illegal) You can change your IP address at any moment. If you are downloading a pretty heavy item (i.e. movies or programs or multiples) You can change your IP address. ok for instance I will give a very vague address,,,,,,,,,, 423.231.123.134,,,,,,,,,,,,OK if you change the last 3 digits to .1 You become the gateway....Again I would not advise this. I have been caught once and I was able to play dumb. The point is.....you steal internet from all of your neighbors
