Everytime I take my photos to Wolfcamera, I have to edit my photos over on their computer. That sucks really bad. Anybody know of a good printing company that prints enlargements as well?????????

Upload to Snapfish.com and pick up the prints at Walgreens.

Do you have a nearby Costco? I upload my photo's to Costco and print them there. They are usually ready by the time I get in the car and drive over there. They do enlargements up to 12" x 18" at the local store, and up to 2' x 3' posters which you may have to wait for. You can also get a photo CD and store your full size images online.

I think the quality is quite good and have found them to be very helpful adjusting colors and sizing if needed.

I've had many photos printed at Costco. Which store they get printed at makes a big difference as to the experience. Not all have have the same printers and therefore they all don't have the same maximum size.

The one closest to my home does a great job as far as speed is concerned. If I go in they'll usually have my 12x18's done in less than 30 minutes. On the other hand they're fairly poor at remembering (or they can't read) that I've requested no adjustments and will argue up one side and down the other that it's my fault and want me to pay for reprints. This even after they've printed them again as I stand there, set the printer for no adjustments, and the results are dramatically different.

The Costco closest to work on the other hand can only print up to 8x10 and are busier so they're never ready before the hour is up does an excellent job keeping the printers up to spec and has never screwed up a print with auto corrections. Unlike the other Costco this one can also forgo the back printing. I did have an issue with one photo and they, without hesitation, reprinted it for free. When I got home I realized the mistake was mine and not theirs.

If you do go to Costco it's worthwhile to download the color profile for the store you're going to so you'll know how to adjust your image. Their auto corrections are usually quite bad.

I also print at Costco. Same one everytime. But, I notice a difference depending on WHO prints them. There are two girls that work there that I usually see, one on week days, one on weekends. I can send the same print twice and they will look totally different when I get them back. Needless to say, I only send my prints on weekdays. I also have to really watch with B&Ws. I have had two come back with additional colors (I convert to grayscale and desat before saving in sRGB). Printed on weekends of course. I think the weekend one is lazy and does color correction on ALL prints she processes.

Have you considered using an online lab like Mpix? They offer all sorts of print sizes. Everytime I have ordered from them, I have had my prints in my hands within 3 business days.

If you do all the editing on your own you can just put the prints on CD and take them to Wolf - I do it weekly. They do enlargements, you just have to bring your already-processed images on a CD.

I don't understand what the big fuss is. You do the processing on your own at home, put the images on CD, and take them to wolf to be printed. What's the issue?

Yeah, I've recently started using Mpix. There quality is absolutely fantastic. I recently ordered 4 20x30 inch prints and they came out amazingly well.

In my limited experience...if you have already 'corrected' your photo(s)
on your software then you need to tell Wolf, Costco, Walgreens etc to print without their auto fix or any other correction applications - which they can override - but you have to tell them up front. I have had success with Wolf Camera in this respect. BTW Shutterfly is a great online printing company and will print to your needs. Hope this helps you.

When you upload your prints to Sam's club; there is a box you can check to tell them to override the auto fix.
