For those that want to pounce on me, know now that I am not an expert.
All our lives have given each of us a differant perspective on everything that we come in contact with. Love, Hate, Sweet, Bitter, Pain, Success, the list goes on.
Each emotion that we endure in life is registered in our brain as a color. Not everyone has the same emotion to color value. So......
There are no correct answers to the following question.
What emotions do you feel when you see the color...
RED
GREEN
BLUE

Red - Red sky at night, sailors delight. Red sky in morning, sailor take warning. Depends when I see it.. though, since I'm not a sailor it usually means Im frustrated sitting at a traffic light.
Green - Safety, and I can start driving again.
Blue - Tense, pull over and anticipate the ticket for thinking yellow was green and missing the red. |

Hmmm - since you're asking what emotions I FEEL when I see the colours:
Red - romantic, passionate, alert to danger, ready for excitement (depending on the details)
Green - serenity, an affinity with nature, worry that I'm going to start sneezing soon
Blue - coolness, sadness
If you asked what stereotypes of meaning I associate with the colours then I'd respond as some of the above - anger, envy, depression etc.

I know what the colours Traditionally mean...
However, when I see them, I only see colour I do not convey a strong feeling of just the colour.
Now, it depends on how the colour is used. So maybe we should try an exercise to use a colour opposite of what it is traditionally known for.

Ditto littlegett. The only way I can come up with an answer is by thinking about what other people might feel, but I don't feel mad when someone is wearing a red t-shirt or anything. They may look good in red, but it's not because I associate it with love or passion or anything. |
