I am selling my Canon 70-200mm f/4L. I bought this lens new from B & H for $585 about a month ago. The lens itself is in mint condition. There are two tiny scratches on the lens hood. I can send pictures if you're interested. Price is $500. I am selling this to help fund my f2.8 IS version...ouch. |

If you could post up some pics of the scratches and lens itself that would be great. Thanks. |

Just wondering why everyone wants to pics of scratches on the lens hood?
Lens hoods scratch easy even rubbing against things in a bag or laying it down.
Oh btw-- good luck selling the lens, No-one wanted mine :(
But its not for sale anymore, I am keeping it..

This is a great lens. I have it plus the 70-200 2.8L IS lens. When I upgraded, it was too good of a lens to sell, so I kept it and my wife uses it on the 10D she got from me when I upgraded to the 1DMKII. The advantages of the 4.0L lens is that it's lighter, smaller and even though not as fast a lens, is still a very sharp and crisp lens. Some people say it is even sharper than the 70-200 2.8L and 70-200 2.8L IS lenses.
Adrin, if nobody on here is interested in it, I'm sure there are people on some of the other forums that might be. I know on some forums it's a very popular lens.

That hood looks new to me ;)
For me a scratch or two on the hood is good, it shows you use the lens ;) I have a few camera bags but my favourite (by far) is my 20 year old Billingham, its old, worn and has a ripped shoulder strap, it looks and feels much better than a brand new one ;)
