I've started to take some of the advice about sellable pix to heart and started updating my prints slowly but surely.

I created two versions of the same photo yesterday, one with a larger border and text, one with just a small border that can be covered by a mat. What do you think? Have both? Have one but not the other? Don't even put the simple white border?

I have the same dilemma. I don't really know the answer to this, but, I kinda think that if someone was looking to buy, the title on the border might turn them off, or, it might be one of the things that they like about it.

I think that more often than not, people might like the image without the title. I say this because the image will mean different things to different people and the title won't fit the different meanings or feelings that people have. I have titles on some of my borders, but have started to put a 1/4 inch (or 10-15 pixels) border on most of my images on dpcprints and not putting a title in the border. I think looks more consistant and just looks better.

I agree with goodtempo, I also think titles in borders can be a little tacky and can prevent the work of art looking like one of a kind - instead, making it look mass-produced like a postcard.
