Finally after months of research and trying to decide which camera to get I've done it! Thank you everybody here that has helped me with the dozens of questions I've had. I can't wait to go shooting tonight! Talk to you later. :)

And now that you've changed your profile, pony up the small fee to change your shirt from gray to blue so you can have a portfolio and share all the pics you take with the new toy!

Niiice, Wow, I'd love to have the money to get my hands on a 30D. Lol, at my age I have trouble trying to test them out ;-)

I just ordered my 30D from b&h on the weekend and i've been checking the UPS shipping status practically every hour! lol I feel like a kid at christmas time waiting for that darn thing. Congratulations on your new camera Bryan... Your post has made me more anxious than ever!

BTW - Anyone notice how fast the number of 30D owners on DPC is climbing. I swear just a week ago when I checked, there was 50 or so owners. Now when I clicked the 30D under Bryans username, there's 69 owners. At this rate, all DPC members will own 30D's by summer =P

No I don't have a site yet. Here is the first shot I took with it. Straight from the camera no post processing.

Welcome to the club!
I am amazed at how fast I'm blasitn away shots on this thing. I am over 800 in 3 weeks. It took me 2 1/2 months to get that many shots on my Rebel!

You're gonna like it. A lot.

Congratzes!

Fun stuff!

It's capable of some pretty fantastic pictures!

I've found that I'm using the 50mm f/1.8 3 times more than the 18-55 (which I am just borrowing). I really love the bang for the buck on these lenses. Especially as the initial purchase was VERY hard on my pocket, coming a full month before I intended...

Keep your eye on that exposure. It is very responsive in spot metering, but that's not always a good thing.

Another thing that might be helpful to you... if you haven't already, it would be a great time to review and streamline your workflow.

With a 4GB card in my camera, I can go out and come back with a LOT of pictures. I can do the same thing with he 2GB in my S2 IS, but with that camera, a lot more shots were throw-aways. With this camera, much fewer pictures don't work out, so my workload has increased tremendously.

Getting organized helps me to not feel so overwhelmed. I've taken 600 pictures just this week. Close to 200 of these are decent. YIKES.
