Samantha,
I live in the Phoenix area - west valley. My three daughters are always asking if they can go out with me. I too would like to get together with a group of photographers and find some great areas to shoot.

Oh, and to Jim--I would love to take photos with you and your kids sometime. How old are your daughters? Are they camera shy? :P

Well, why not an outing sometime soon? I'm impatient!

No, that's not the reason. The reason is that I'm anxious to get out and find new places to shoot...my apartment complex is getting old.

Samantha, my girls are 13, 11 and 9 and they love to take pictures and are quite photogenic too. I will check out the dates for the botanical gardens - that would be sweet.

I don't know if our car should go that far...I wonder if anyone could carpool me or something? Our car is a 94, and is completely shot, the transmission is going out on it.

Samantha, I could be. My kids will be at church, but I could make it down there afterwards - mid afternoon-ish. I ask them and let you know.

Anyone else interested? This place looks sweet - //www.dbg.org/

I'm up for going out there on Sunday afternoon. I'm sure I'll see you there, and not recognize a one of you.

Yeah...I think I can only go if I can get a ride. My mom is handicapped and wouldn't be able to come with us, she'd have to sit in the car the whole time. She doesn't think our car should drive there, and back, and there again.

I think this is a great idea!

I have one or two free passes I can share with someone and I can take one person in with me on membership card. I don't know about the free passes, but on the membership card you get passes to the butterfly pavillion. If anyone on a free pass had to pay I think the buterfly passes are $1 or so.

Btw... belated congratulations on the good score for this image! Great picture. I didn't even kow you had anything in. Heck, if I had known, my vote might have boasted your score all the way to 6.2. LOL!

We should all choose a time and a place to meet. And wear nametags or something.

Exnay on the nametags, by the way. Just kidding. I hate nametags.

Butterfly photography is a tricky thing.

They are temperature sensitive, the warmer it is the more active they are and therefore the harder to photograph. Under those conditions what I do to is slip them one of my date rape drugs.... works every time!

NOTE:
If anyone going to the gardens needs a ticket please let me know...

I found both of mine and they need to be used before the end of May.
